Die in the Dungeon Guide:How to Progress Through Normal Stages

Nearly Invincible Once the Build is Complete
I apologize if some parts feel unnatural, as I am translating from Japanese.
Go to the Die in the Dungeon Guide:How to Clear It Within 40 Minutes page
This is a guide for clearing the regular stages in Die in the Dungeon. The difficulty currently goes up to D4, and while it may feel very challenging at first, you’ll be able to progress once you build a solid setup.
Since the game is currently in early access, things are likely to change, but I’ll write about the current progression method.
Update 2025-03-05: Version 4.1.7 added difficulty levels up to D6.
How to Progress
Types of Dice
New types of dice appear as you progress through the stages, but you can still progress using just the four types available from the start: Attack, Block, Terrain, and Mirror.
By keeping your deck simple, you can achieve stable victories. This is the deck for Mango. For the other two characters, the board will change, so a bit of adjustment is needed, but it’s mostly the same.

The Mirror Dice is very powerful and can be obtained early on. The strong Mirror Dice that guarantees an action is especially effective. Bosses often drop them.
Sometimes the energy cost is 0, so if you find one, consider yourself lucky. Make sure to secure it.

Chart to the Final Boss
This is based on using the initial character, CINDER. He starts with a SPLASH ATTACK DICE, so just having that one ATTACK DICE is sufficient.
It’s more important to focus on BLOCK DICE, so let’s gather them.
The BLOCK DICE with a zero energy cost in the shape of a triangle is highly recommended. It’s even better if it has the DOUBLE DIP PROPERTY. Then, go around the MAP’s Discard Tiles to get rid of any unnecessary BOOST DICE.
Make sure to obtain a MIRROR DICE and a TERRAIN DICE during combat. From around stage 2, it becomes difficult without these. CINDER’s MIRROR DICE is very effective when there are 2–3 spaces on the board, rather than just 4 spaces.
MIRROR DICE, which allows you to change the faces of dice, is valuable, but if you find it, you can redistribute it. Reroll and create 2 spaces. It occasionally drops during boss fights.

Elite Battleはお金もRELICも手に入るので可能なら戦っておきましょう。
It’s a good idea to keep your dice as even numbers if possible. It becomes very powerful when you obtain the FINGERLESS MITTENS RELIC.

Recommended RELICS
These are relics you should pick up if you find them during your journey. Make sure to strengthen your dice as well.
CHOCOLATE MUFFIN
It sets all damage for both enemies and allies to 0 on the first turn. Ideally, you want to be able to deploy both TERRAIN DICE and MIRROR DICE during this first turn.
FINGERLESS MITTENS
If all the dice on the board have even faces, all dice receive an additional +2.
BUILDING BLOCKS
Energy cost of BLOCK DICE is reduced by -1.
STAR YO-YO
Excess damage is carried over to the next enemy, which is very useful.
REPTILIAN SCALES
At the end of the turn, if there is any leftover block, 50% of it is dealt as damage.
Victory is Yours If the Boss Fight Feels Easy
After that, by placing TERRAIN DICE or BLOCK DICE after the MIRROR DICE, you can apply various properties and relic effects, making it easy to win.

Since it’s a deck-based roguelike game, luck plays a part, but as you play, you may come up with your own simple strategies to overcome the challenges.
If clearing the game with the first character is too difficult, try using Lisver. The character is stronger, so it should be easier than before. Be sure to try out the new difficulty levels as well!See you next time!
