The Cavalry Girls DLC “Clover” was released on Steam in July 2024. By playing this, you can learn about Kuroku’s past. I won’t spoil the ending, but it was an amazing work, much more than I expected. It’s free, so if you own Cavalry Girls, you should definitely play it.

My guide is just one example of how I completed it. Please use it as a reference.

The missions have been changed to a sneaking format.

In the main story, you go wild with machine guns in both hands, but trying that in “Clover” will get you killed. When taking down enemies, you’ll mainly use the special equipment, an electronic dagger. If you enjoy Metal Gear Solid, this is a genre you might like.

Additionally, turning on “Automatic Blasting Construction” and “Automatic Assassinate” in the options will make things easier.

Upgrade your specialized modules and speed.

The Electric Dagger can only have up to 4 modules, but upgrading it turns it into the High-Power Electric Dagger, allowing for 6 modules. Equip it with Assassination 3 types III and II.

For leg enhancement modules, since stealth is the main focus this time, in addition to the Rotating Shaft Module and Speed Module, I used the Joint Lubr. Module, Sprint Module, Power Capacitor, and Power Amplifier. These will make Kuroku incredibly fast and improve comfort.

The Hussar-chip you receive as you progress through the missions is very powerful. You can choose any of them according to your preference. I selected Explosive and Laido↓

One of your top priorities should be creating the Cluster Shock Bomb (made from two Shock Bombs). It can induce dizziness over a wide area, so having six of them allows you to use them without worrying about cooldown, dramatically changing the difficulty.

Surprisingly useful was the Mounted Object, which paired well with stealth. It doesn’t engage in combat, after all. Also, make sure to equip mobility-enhancing items like the External Hydraulic Press and External Energy Tank whenever you find them.

If you’re feeling uncertain, specialized equipment is also recommended.

The specialized equipment for Kuroku enhances assassination abilities, so having it is quite useful. However, leveling it up requires a significant amount of honor, so you’ll need to regularly participate in outer perimeter missions. Since all of these are stealth missions, it might be enjoyable for those who like that type of gameplay.”

Defense battles are quite challenging.

From the mid-game onwards, defense battles become more difficult as enemies with shields advance. They require two hits even with assassination. Strengthen the gates, deploy your own shields, and use Cluster Shock Bombs effectively during the fight. Enhancing your speed will allow you to respond quickly, making it easier to clear these challenges.

The BGM is also incredible and will bring you to tears.

By the way, the final boss is also a sneaking-type, not a combat one. Since it won’t go down in one hit, use Cluster Shock Bombs and employ a hit-and-run strategy. Mastering these tactics should help you reach the ending.

Kuroku’s story was truly amazing. There are unique BGM and songs that you can only hear here, so make sure to play it yourself. See you again!
