Cat Quest3 Recommended Gear for Each Type
Magic is generally powerful in most RPGs.
Here are some recommended gear options for Cat Quest 3. Please use this as a reference.
equipment
Golden Helm
A fantastic helm that increases damage based on the amount of money you have. This damage boost is incredibly powerful and outclasses other helms of the same level. It applies to all types of damage. You can obtain it in the Golden Tower.
Pi-rat king`s Bicorne & Coat
It provides a significant boost to both physical and magic stats, and your HP regenerates automatically. It requires defeating the Pi-Rat King on Furgie Island to obtain, which can be a bit challenging.
Dratcula`s Series
The gear that absorbs a portion of the damage and heals you is essential from the second playthrough onwards. With full gear, you can achieve a 20% absorption rate, but this comes at the cost of reduced damage output, which can be a dilemma. The melee weapon Bloodsucker applies its effect just by equipping it, so it absorbs 10% even when using magic. Highly recommended. You can obtain it at Eight Bit Castle in Sunset Islands.
Stave of Antares
Staff-type weapons are easy to use because you can cast continuously. Despite being able to obtain other staves early on, I ended up using Antares almost exclusively until the final boss.
Meowtallika`s Pick
Unleash lightning at the end of the combo to boost your damage.
Magic Milk & Magical Glove & Hearty Milk
Mana-recovery accessories are useful for casting multiple spells in succession. Milk-type items can be obtained by defeating bounty targets.
Pawer Milk
As you continue attacking, your attack speed increases. This isn’t limited to Antares, but the faster final strike is definitely appreciated. It’s a shame, though, that the stats that increase are physical-based, which isn’t ideal for magic users.
Magic
Fire purrism
The projectiles move slowly, but since they home in on targets, they’re easy to aim and quite powerful. They’re also useful when fighting from land against ships, making them very convenient.
Freeze paw
This is a mainstay spell that’s easy to use, as it slows down enemies. However, ice magic has a short range, so you’ll need to get closer to cast it.
Heal paw
This healing magic is something I rely on frequently, and this time it can even be used on ships. However, it has some drawbacks—healing stops when you take damage, and as you progress through stages, it may not keep up with the damage you receive. It’s not as user-friendly as the Dratcula’s Series, which was more convenient. I remember it being much easier to use in the previous game…
Pawer Up
It seems that the duration increases as you level up, reaching a little over 10 seconds at max level. With the Dratcula’s Series equipped, your HP regenerates rapidly.
Light whisker
A spell that creates an electric dome around you. Use it when you stop using Heal Paw. When you’re under the effect of Pawer Up, rushing into the middle of enemies and combining it with other spells makes for a very enjoyable game experience.
Ship
Electric cannonpaw
Cannonpaw, which varies in power depending on the timing and distance of the shot, is selective in its effectiveness. However, it shows considerable strength in the Cathulhu battle, so I highly recommend it.
Firing Rate
Equipping two of them allows you to shoot quite rapidly. Since you can only charge the special gauge with regular attacks, I highly recommend it.
Once you’re more accustomed to the controls, consider removing HP-increasing gear and replacing it with other equipment. This will ultimately help you defeat enemies more quickly.
