Grand Theft Auto V: Enhanced Edition Compared to Legacy

I apologize if some parts feel unnatural, as I am translating from Japanese.
Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced has been released on PC.
The features originally available on PS5 and Xbox Series are now on PC as well. With this update, the previous version of GTA V is now called GTA V Legacy. PC players who already own the game can upgrade to the Enhanced version for free.
The reason I’m talking about GTA V is that I own the game. I first bought it on PS3, and since I found it enjoyable, I also purchased the PC version. That’s how much I played it back then.

The PC version originally had high specs and great flexibility, allowing for frame rates above 60. With mods, it was arguably the best version. However, when it came to online play, I stopped playing after a while because the sessions tended to get chaotic. That was back in the day, so I’m not sure how it is now.

Be Cautious of Storage and Data Migration
Enough Free Space is Required
The Enhanced Edition is not an update to the old GTA V but seems to be a completely new software that requires a fresh installation.
So, if you uninstall the old GTA V while migrating, like I did, you’ll end up having to download both versions. Since each is about 100GB, make sure you have enough storage space available.
How to Transfer Data
To transfer data from the Legacy version, you first need to upload it to Rockstar’s servers. You can upload the data as many times as you want. By the way, transferring the data will not delete your Legacy data.
To upload, go to the game menu and look for the “Save Data Upload” option under the “GAME” section. From there, you can upload your data.
Next, launch the Enhanced version and select “Download Save Data” from the “GAME” section in the menu. Please note that the download can only be done once. This action can also be performed from the start screen.
As for GTA Online, it seems the data is already stored on Rockstar’s servers, so the process is only necessary for the Enhanced version.
*When uploading, you will need to agree to Rockstar’s new terms and conditions. This agreement will be prompted when you connect online, so even if you plan to play offline, make sure to connect online first and accept the terms.
