Dungeon Antiqua 2 GUIDE3
Can Anyone Read Ancient Texts?

I apologize if some parts feel unnatural, as I am translating from Japanese.
Here are some additional tips for Dungeon Antiqua 2. The game is surprisingly full of hidden elements, which makes it really fun!
Other Tips and Strategies
Rare Monster
In Dungeon Antiqua 2, there is a rare bird monster called the “Ean Si.” It has a very high evasion rate and tends to flee quickly, but it’s specially designed so that you receive 30 skill points even if you don’t defeat it.
Spawn Locations
It appears in various locations, but there are three points where it’s easy to encounter.
The first is the boss floor of the “Sage’s Shrine.”

The second is the floor beyond the golden door in the “Sealed Castle,” roughly above the Healing Fountain. You can use this spot to farm SP.

The third is the long, straight ice floor in the “Ice Floor.” If you slide up and down, you’ll eventually encounter it.

The enemy symbol is unique, appearing and disappearing intermittently. When defeated, it has a low chance to drop “EAN SI MEAT,” which can be used to increase your maximum HP.
Farming Experience & SP
Aside from using the Ean Si to farm SP, you can also use the Air Giants in “DEMONS GATE.” As preparation, you’ll need the Priest’s DEATH spell.
This leveling method is available from around level 25. Enter the dungeon and fight the two Air Giants located at the far right. These enemies are extremely strong at this stage and could wipe your party, but they are weak to instant-death effects, so if DEATH lands, the fight ends immediately. Have the Priest in the back row cast DEATH, while the rest of the party is set to defend.
After the battle, return to town and repeat. Each fight grants 675 experience points and 3 skill points.
SPELL BOOK P5
The Mage’s spellbook can be obtained by defeating the boss in “Sage’s Shrine,” but the Priest’s spellbook may sometimes remain unobtained even if you clear the game normally. It’s not a big deal, though.
The Priest’s spellbook is located deep in the Ice Floor beyond “Blazewave Cave.” It becomes accessible after the Ifrit battle in the Fire Cave.
There’s also a boss fight in the Ice Floor, but after clearing the main story, this battle is a piece of cake.
Where to Find the CURSED NECKLACE?
You can unlock Sage’s Shrine by giving either the CURSED NECKLACE or 30,000G to the Spellbook Shop merchant. If you don’t want to spend the money, you can obtain the necklace on the 4th basement floor of the Iron Mine, but you’ll need to use the golden key on the 3rd floor to get there.
Dark Witches can also drop it, but going to the Iron Mine yourself is probably faster.
Elder Dragon
After defeating the final boss, you can access the familiar post-game dungeon. The entrance is the golden door between the Paladin and Samurai trials in the Tower of Trials. A recommended level is around 70.
Deep inside, you’ll encounter the post-game boss, the Elder Dragon. It comes accompanied by two Gold Dragons, making the fight challenging. Its attacks include the non-elemental magic “PUNISH,” which deals around 500 damage to a single target.
However, it does not cancel your buffs, so stacking HASTE is advantageous. SLEEP also works, so if used strategically, you can effectively neutralize it.
The Magic Circle in the Back Room
Beyond the Elder Dragon, there’s a magic circle, and it’s the biggest mystery in the game. I’ve been experimenting with it, and it’s still under investigation…
